Joe, I was heavily MS dependednt on email (as well as everything else) so I've been thru the gammut... There are essentially 3 choices for u to sort thru: Kmail - Closest to Outlook express in features and functionality including an address book importer. Sylpheed - Is turning out to be what I feel is an even better email client in the tradition of Outlook express except that is not yet fully matured. It promises to be the best compact GUI email client out there. There is a 'testing' version called "Sylpheed Claws" which has many beta features enabled in it but it is in constant BETA. Evolution - What I am currently using. It is an Outlook clone that is mature and fully featured. It offers all that Outlook does including Calender, Contacts etc., as well as its big footprint.
I would have to suggest Evolution or Kmail depending what you are trying to migrate them from (Outlook or Outlook Express repectivly)
Hope this helps

What email program should a person use - It should be for someone who has never used unix and will putty into the server. elm, pine or ? Remember this is a windows user with no unix experience...so it needs to be simple.
Thanks,
Joe
