For the longest time I didn't get it.
Why does Brett refuse to give up the nylxs.org domain? It seems malicious. But it is the only possible weapon he has against Ruben's attacks. Ruben has been publicly slamming those two for weeks and for what?
A small group that had been involved in or around nyfairuse, decided that they didn't agree with some of Ruben's tactics, and or decided differently about the best procedure for getting a net connection, or making their voice heard, and broke off from Ruben. This happens. We are in a free country right?
Ruben has been concentrating on getting NYLXS off the ground and running and Brett and Jay and some others decided to take over or exclude Ruben from nyfairuse because they wanted to employ different tactics, or whatever.
Ruben you should be proud that Brett and Jay are continuing the work you started. Are doing this with more energy than before you had been involved with them. You should not be insulting them on every possible list and hosting confusing double meetings, which move around so much only the true core can possibly find them.
I am sorry Ruben but I am not with you on this one. You have clearly said that this issue is a make or break issue with you. In a democratic organisation PEOPLE MUST BE ALLOWED TO HAVE DIFFERING VIEW PIONTS. Any challenge to this is a challenge to democracy itself.
I want to participate in a democracy with AS MANY MEMBERS AS POSSIBLE doing all the wonderful things NYLXS was set up to do. I don't want to be part of a party or clique or cabal where people are threatened exclusion by not toeing the party line.
