On a couple of servers I have set up, I have run into a problem with the mouse. In either KDE or Gnome, attempting to use the mouse results in the pointer jumping to the lower left corner of the screen. Moving the mouse directly up generally works for a short distance, and as soon as the mouse is lifted on the pad, or moved in a direction other than straight up, the pointer jumps back to the lower left of the screen, and appears to automatically click while jumping to the lower left. This has happened with three computers I have set up, under SUSE 7.3, using PS2 mice, connected directly through the box, or with a kvm switch. I attempted to switch mice, but this has happened with both 2 button, and three button mice, scroll/non scroll, etc.
I have found a different mouse that has worked correctly with one of the systems, but using other mice on another system has not solved the problem. If anyone has run into this problem, please let me know. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Vincenzo.
