Actually
In regard to this Tech Guy is wrong and the Boss is absolutely
right. Assuming that they make the code available to customers,
the company is NOT a charity and should change as much as they can for
their expertise to know that this software is available and works!!
Everyone with expertise and who is doing a job for someone deserves
payment....
Right ON BOSS!!
