Unfortunately, I think Adam is looking for an integrated product which does all of the following:
CHAVER-ware 4 Features
Membership Management Phone Tree(r) Integration Multi Level Categories Donation Database Web Module Tribute Module Yahrzeit and Cemetery Information Fully Networkable Mail Merge, Reports and Queries Accounts Receivable General Ledger Accounts Payable Aliyah Module High Holiday Seating Module Payroll Microsoft Office compatibility Bank Reconciliation Calendar
Unfortunately Peachtree Accounting of QuickBooks Pro is installed along side the CMS (Congregational Management Software, which does exist in Free Software (see Sourceforge for details)) as an all-in-one package. Unfortunately, Accounting Software is one area where Free Software is lagging. SQL Ledger is not quite up to the job and too clunky (as per Joe Maffia)...
Just my $0.02 worth.....
Regards,
Evan

Hello everyone,
As some of you know already, I provide off site support to a small synagogue in NJ. They're running a small non-free application called Chaverware which I'd like to replace with a Free alternative. This is your every day VB application using a shared Access database. Chaverware claims to be "Membership and accounting software". Would anyone be able to mention a Free alternative?
Best,
Adam

"Yes, Your Honor. Now, where we are so far, in at least my line of reasoning, is I want to walk the Court through enough of our complaint to help the Court understand that IBM clearly did contribute a lot of the Unix-related information into Linux. We just don't know what it is."
