You are leaving out one of my favorites..WSH, Windows Scripting Language. IE can always be de-installed, but embedded WSH, ActiveX and VB are forever...

Not that it matters to me, but as long as it has ActiveX and Internet Explorer, it can not be made secure. Aside from that, I agree with Adam. It fails to be a useable system regardless of the improvements it might, or might not, have due to its restrictive licensing.
