RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to support facets of the ETL process (extract, transfer
and load). Sufficient experience with the database development,
preferably in Sybase and Unix process automation
Work closely with clients, business analysts and team members to
understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design
of quality technical solutions
Responsible for production support and minor development of vendor
applications (integration/adaptation of vendor packages).
Responsible for the complete application development lifecycle:
developing database/application architectures according to the
technical specifications, programming, testing and implementation.
Must be able to respond to Customer development requests by identifying
solutions and providing detailed development estimates.
Must comply with the company standard change management procedures.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
Development experience in
UNIX operating system (Solaris): Unix shell, AWK (2 years or more)
Windows operating system - (NT, XP, Win 2000) : Excel automation .
Windows Shell(WSH) and Excell automation using VBA.
Web-based applications (ASP, Java script)
Application databases and / or data warehouse development
Strong knowledge of SQL, scripting, advanced database manipulation, and
database (Sybase) performance tuning and optimization.(2 years or more)
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Desired/Plus: Oracle, XML, TIBCO, PowerBuilder
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
Required/Must have:
Experience in application development for financial industry
Experience and understanding of reporting systems
Desired/Plus:
More specific areas include:
Experience with Finance/Accounting/Risk applications
Knowledge of financial products (capital market, commercial,
derivatives, securities)
Understanding of credit risk/ market risk concepts
Experience working with the referential data
COMPETENCIES
Required/Must have:
Strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently as well as a part of a group
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required/Must have:
3-5 years experience financial industry
EDUCATION
Required/Must have:
Bachelor?s degree
