Dear Ruben,
A Major Company in the Rutherford area of NJ has an excellent opportunity for a Web Applications Administrator.
Responsibilities:
Work as a web server administrator providing support for production and QA web infrastructures. Responsible for web infrastructure installations and configurations. Interface with vendors and customer server knowledge base to provide solutions to problems. Develop and maintain scripts and programs as needed. Provide support to in-house and remote personnel. Create and maintain documentation.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Minimum 1 year experience administration and support of Web applications in an enterprise environment. Knowledge of one of the following web application server products: WebSphere, WebLogic, JBOSS or Tomcat. Proven troubleshooting abilities and experience applying upgrades/patches to Production environments. Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, both technical and non-technical. Experience rolling out new systems into Production as well as upgrading Production systems while maintaining availability in an enterprise environment. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at one time.
Desired:
Knowledge of Websphere Application Server, Apache and Linux OS is preferred. WebTrends, Perl Scripting, IIS and Windows experience is a plus.
