Nice to see an alternative for ufraw. Its been a bit of a hassle to use
ufraw even though its a package on OpenBSD as well as GIMP. I've found that
RAW images are the easiest to work with especially if you do a lot of
post-processing in photo software. The challenge with RAW is that whatever
software you use, better make sure it supports the make AND model of your
camera. I have a Pentax K-5 and almost all photo software has the ability
to manipulate my RAW images but newer Pentax cameras like the K-5 II have
slightly different RAW files which at least 50% of the software i've seen
wont work with those ... Its easier to use Pentax's photo utility software
to do manual processing of RAW than use GIMP in some cases .......
