I have known more black people, lived with more black people, shared and
worked with more black people then you will ever know in your lifetime.

Its not even close. Growing up in East New York my classroom in k-3rd
grade was over 90% black. My sister was sexually abused by black youths
in the Fairfield Towers Public Housing dewvelopment. I've been beaten,
attacked, conned, and victemized by Blacks althrough out the mid-60's
until the 1990s. I saw neighborhoods literally burned to the ground
so that one could stand on the subway platform of New Lots Avenue on the
LL train, and look and see nothing but a few husks of buildings and
rubble in all directions as far as you can see, an area a bit larger
than San Fransico I might add. I had my wife attacked in a wilding
assualt at the Junction on Flatbush Avenue, and call is total fright
from behind the counter of a comic book store owned by a
Korean Friend. I saw Dinkins allow Sony Karson and Al Sharpton inflame
the entire Black community of central Brooklyn, and saw it cumulate into
the Crown Heights riots.

Growing up, I saw one Black friend after the other fall into the drug
traffic trade, refuse to get an education or a trade, spitting out
racist epitaphs at any non-black person this could find. I saw street
level war fare and shootings between the American Blacks and the
incoming Jamacians and Haitians, which culminated to the broadside
murder of 6 teenaged black children at the roller skating rink on Empire
Blvd.... all before Rudy Guilliani took office.

I saw Pitkin and Livonia Avenue lined up with closed strore fronts, with
infilrated with crack houses for decades, and that followed up with the
AID epidemic filling Brookdale and Woodhul hospitals to the last bed
with IV drug abusers who contracted AIDs.

And yet, repeatedly, against this enourmous body of racism, violence,
sefldestruction, and blatant anti-semetism, through generations of
tribal warefare, demogougary, and pure hatred that the black community
has had for my family and myself, I have remained steadfastly in
Brooklyn, never living more than a few blocks from the Black community,
sharing the subway, the streets, trains, schools, and even the elected
officials with the Black community for decades. I have, both
professionally and personally, welcomes blacks into my social circles,
advocated for their heath, even to the point of yelling at Indian
doctors that they were ignorning my black patients and refusing to do an
adequate job of treating them because they were black and from the
bed-sty ghetto and powerless, putting my own reputation and presitige
within the hospital on the line for the well being of black patients.

I don't live in a lilly white community like yours, in a racially
segregated community such as what exists in the Bay Area. Your communty
bars ghetto blacks from entry into silicon valley. Instead of doing the
hard work and getting your hands dirty in trying to integrate the black
areas like Oakland into the mainstream Palo Alto economy, your
community, and even the Linux community there, freezes out blacks from
the bay area, and never addresses the crime, drug and education problems
that edemic to the area. Instead of getting education, and generating
PhDs in Stanford for ghetto kids from Oakland, your area imports H1B
foriegners, sidestepping the entire issue. The last Linux meeting I
attended in SF had ZERO minorities attending. While NYLXS has had
hispanics and blacks on its board from DAY ONE. Our agenda, going back
decades was to try to ignite empowerment across the entire economic and
social strata with the adoption of Fre Software, and attacked the NYC
public school system consistantly in this regard.

Your accusation against myself and the former Mayor is laughable. More
black men are alive today thanks to Guilliani's hard nosed determination
to root out the core contributions to crime and poverty in NYC then any
individual who has lived in the US of A since Abraham Lincoln. He
didn't let idiots like you detemine where he would and would not lay
seige to drug gangs, arsonists, and rapists. He went right for the
jugular and within even a few short years, areas deeply entrentched in
the burned out ghettos were opened up for homesteading by working class
black families, and he breathed new life into entire communities where
previously the only product that was produced was a body count, and
headlines for newspapers and liberal dogood agencies that were guilty of
exploiting the poverty for their own gain.

It's like Dillinger said, why attack banks, because thats where the
money is. Rudy went after the crime where it WAS. And if idiots like
you charged him for being a racist and a bigot for it, so be it. It is
a SMALL price to pay for having now 30 plus years of relative
tranquility, and oppurtunity for ALL the people of this city, regardless
of their race, creed or color.

One has to develop a fine tuned moral compass and loving heart to
thread the needle between dodging the extreme violence of black racism
that I, and all New Yorkers, grew up with every day, and restrain that
in order to act humanely and with compassion to all the individuals who
we share our city with. Granted, I'm a dieing breed. Nobody lives in
NYC for 50 years any more. People get fed up, rightfully so, and move
to the suburbs, to Florida, to the West Coast, to the Upper West Side,
and the Village to seperate themselves and buffer themselves from the
grinding churburn that real intercommunal conflict and the violent chaos
and conflict and that taps ones peace and serenity.

The people who do live here just got here. Most people I speak to never
saw the WTC, let alone remmember the smoldering ruins of of Belmount
Avernue, and Vermont Street.

See that is the difference between me and you. I am actually not a
racist. I practice that daily, not as a political matter, but as a
practical matter, egaliterianism and fairness to all. I can discuss
this from the first person. Your just a bystander with a poorly
researched opinion based on your preconcieved notion and opinions,
depending on a press and body of editorial papers which not only
couldn't care less about Blacks in America, but also is focused on
sensasionalizing and sanitizing the news and message for their own
purpuses. You worry about offending blacks and minorities. I don't
worry about that. I've been living with them for decades. I haven't just
been observing them for decades, I've been participating actively with
them as real neighbors in a shared community for over half a century.
I can discern real bigotry from ... say real law enforcement .. because
I've shared the living expereince with blacks, and Puerto Ricans,
and Domincans, and Haitians, and Jamacians, and Central Americans, and
Pakastani's etc etc etc intimately, in the first person and in the flesh.

Guilliani was a hero. For him, Black Lives Mattered. Even when they
were locked up and behind bars, he care about Black lives and had
Kerrigan go head long into the malase of violence in Rickers Island long
before the current fad.

You, OTOH, is showing yourself to not just an wrong on these topics, and
the more you write, the more you prove yourself blissfully ignorant on
these topics, but whether you know it or not, you are also proving
yourself to be a bigot.
