it is the outcome of 2-3 decades of pro-'Democrat' ( please stop adding the 'ic' suffix) indoctrination by both what passes for the NYC 'education' system and The Party & its propagandists ( pick your 'favorite' channel or rag sheet - including the Grey Lady of the night )
HOW can they demand 'change' when Democrats have controlled - the Governor since 2007 - the NYS Assembly since 1975 - the NYS Senate since 2019 - the NYC Council since 1998 ( actually since 1938 except for the 1993-7 window when Republicans briefly controlled it ) - and the Mayor essentially since after Giuliani in 2002 ( Bloomberg was a political carpetbagger going from democrat->republican->independent (3rd term)->democrat, but if you want to nitpick, at least since 2014 & the curse of Wilhelm, aka 'de Blasio' )
( all dates they actually took office, the elections being the previous Nov )
