unfortunately, the worthless NYS Republican 'leadership' once again
utterly failed to provide a serious candidate. the principle blame for
where we are is with THEM.
( their failure in 2009 is the reason Cuomo ever became governor.
For about 2 weeks in 2009, he had the chutzpah to run for 2 wks a radio ad
"he has experience. he ran a government agency for a president.
Andrew Cuomo reformed HUD"
{ I had forgotten the 3rd line actually mentioned it was HUD, but it
did not explicitly say he ran it }.
Had the Republicans quickly put out a response ad on its tail that
pointed out the President was clinton
and cuomo was the one who ordered Freddie & Fannie to make the
changes that resulted in their collapse in 2008,
they would have permanently stuck a fork in him. and let's not
forget to mention their failure to support what
was a viable candidate to replace schumer the schemer in 2022, among
many other crimes of negligence & incompetence)
Sliwa has ZERO practical experience - in management, business,
politics, etc ( yes, pretty much just like the nazi )
and comes off a bit of a kook.
On top of that, this is a city that pathologically won't naturally vote
for a Republican.
( I will concede I have been wondering if the polls were rigged to
minimize Sliwa's ratings, there has been at least
one story that polymarket & friends had been manipulated by at least one
high roller, who's last name I suspect
starts with 's'' )
This time around, the vote is not about principle, it is about
Realpolitik. and the choice is between hitler and stalin.
