like hitler, lenin, stalin, etc., mamdani toned down what he was saying before the election to draw in the less extreme. of course, at least some of us know what happened after the election ( clearly not all as mamdani got 50.4 % of the vote )
as for hochul .... expect a variation of what happened with 'congestion pricing'. In 2026 she faces re-election. she will initially publicly resist allowing increases in taxes while she judges how the wind is blowing and whether it is helping or hurting her re-election, which will determine what she does BEFORE 11/3/26. After that? expect a repeat of 'congestion pricing' - she will help push through the tax increases if she wins, especially if she owes her re-election to the extreme left.
As for the odds of ANY Republican winning in 2026 ... Tuesday proves never underestimate the stupidity (or evilness ) of the NY ( and possibly the US ) public.
