Police say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back Sunday in Midwood.
According to the NYPD, the teen was shot at East 16th Street and Avenue
J at around 4:15 p.m.
The teen was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
Police say there have been no arrests made at this time.
It seems this is gang related violence that has now swept into the
community. That vaping store on the corner of E15th that was a dry
cleaners for decades, it has become a center for crimal activities and
gangs. Avenue J has been swept with criminal activitiy and homelessness
and the violence has moved up and down the entire avenue, and nothing
has been done or said. Most of this is right at the foot of the offices
of the Democratic Senator Sutton.
