A Twist in Graphene Could Make for Tunable Electronic Devices
All the research that went into engineering a band gap into graphene has yielded new ways of using the single-atom-thick version of carbon. An international team of researchers has demonstrated proof of principle for a technique that can control the rotation of the graphene, making its electrical, optical, and even mechanical properties tunable.

A Twist in Graphene Could Make for Tunable Electronic Devices

A Twist in Graphene Could Make for Tunable Electronic Devices

All the research that went into engineering a band gap into graphene has yielded new ways of using the single-atom-thick version of carbon. An international team of researchers has demonstrated proof of principle for a technique that can control the rotation of the graphene, making its electrical, optical, and even mechanical properties tunable.
