New York Perl friends:

We have an offer of a *small* venue in midtown Manhattan in which to
hold a New York Perlmongers meeting on Monday, February 25.

If you would like to make a presentation to a small but knowledgeable
group of Perl enthusiasts, please contact me ASAP. We'd like
presentation(s) of 10-, 20- or 30-minutes length. This is a good
opportunity if (a) you have never done a tech talk before; (b) if you
have never done a tech talk for ny.pm before; or (c) if you are
developing a talk for presentation at a conference later in the year.

(I have one talk to present, but since I spoke at our last tech meeting
I'd like to get at least one new speaker before proceeding to make a
full announcement.)

The venue can hold at most 15 people, so we'll set a tight cap on
attendance at our meetup.com site once the meeting is posted there.

Several of the venues at which we have held tech meetups over the past
six years are no longer available to us. Lack of a steady venue is our
biggest obstacle to holding technical meetings. We particularly need
space where we can hold between 15 and 30 people. If your company or
organization wants to support Perl and can make such space available,
please contact me off list at your earliest convenience.

Thank you very much.
Jim Keenan
