This is bigotry and not a reason to release a ballplayer. I know in my
heart that his is a racist act, and is inappropriately censoring reason
free speech.
Calling a retarded fan a retard might offend the Special Olympics. but
we don't surrender our use of language to special intests. George
Carlen did a 20 minute skit on the term Cripples. It was basically, why
can't we call cripples cripples?
I am SICK of the sterilization of peoples thoughts and language.

The Twitter exchange occurred after Jenkins posted some of his
statistics from this season, including four interceptions and 50 total
tackles. A fan commented that those numbers are “irrelevant” since they
haven’t contributed to many victories for the 2-11 Giants.
Jenkins responded, “I can only do my job,” followed by the word
“retard,” a slur which Special Olympics officials say has “negative
effects on people with intellectual disabilities, as well as their
families and friends.”
