I was thinking that worst comes to worst, I'd do it from scratch using
forms, html, and python (with a host that has mysql and sendmail).

But mailman does sound like it has promiss, or at least interest.

Postfix, Mailman, postfix-to-mailman.py (makes Mailman available to
