Being spring, it would be nice if folks would pay their $40
dues for the year. I'm in the middle of a server upgrade, we are adding
an Opteron 64 dual core to the service, with a new opensuse 11.4 OS
which I already picked up for $200.00 .
We can use another sata drive for it, but I'll adapt something.
Otherwisw it has 250 gigs of drive space.
Sunday Evening is the C++ Workshop, which is coming together nicely.
I'll be announcing Classes later in the week for Perl and Linux I.
And i hope to get an installfest in within the 2 week timeframe.
We installed a new webserver, built on C++ called okws. It's an
exciting new project. It is designed from the ground up for dynamic
content. It will open new opputinities for NYLXS. Among other things,
it has built in hooks for MYSQL.
Additionally, I have a ton of old equiptment that I'll be clearing out.
At the installfest, we'll be auctioning as much of it off as possible to
raise funds, the rest will be disposed of.
On a personal note, I fell 3 weeks ago and broke my hand, making things
difficult for me, so anyone who want to volunteer some time to build out
the new server, it would be graciously accepted.
