-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Consensus from last night's meeting Date: Wed, 18 May 2011 12:39:32 -0400 From: Jordan Adler To: ny.pm CC: The-New-York-Perl-Meetup-Group-list-at-meetup.com, Aaron Dancygier , James E Keenan , "David H. Adler"
Greetings,
Since there has yet to be an official message on this topic so far, I'll gladly start the conversation:
For those of you who were present last night, thank you for attending. Many great ideas were raised and the general consensus seems to be that we need to have a serious discussion in a venue that would be more appropriate for such a discussion. That is to say, the pub had neither the space nor quietness that were needed to permit a sense of welcoming to open ideas and opinions that were needed. We had settled on the date of 12 July (Tuesday) for that discussion, with a location to be determined at some point in the future.
I believe that at this moment there is no venue available, and if anyone has one to offer, it would be appreciated.
Could someone please also add a meetup.com event for this, and use that for RSVPing for this event? I would do it, but lack the access to create new meetups.
Thanks,
Jordan M. Adler
