right but the problem is in state Two. In State two we are NOT yet in
the body of the comment. we just have a single / which might be part of
a comment delimiter, or might not be, depending on what is to follow.

Now, if I get an OTHER which is not a * and not a / (if other is defined
as such), then fine, back to stage 1. If we get a * - Up to stage 3.
BUT, if we get a another /, we should not be at state 1, but still at
state two!

Nuh?

In L1 we are looping 1's in stage 1. I'm thinking I have to loop ( at
stage 2 and I'm not sure what is the difference.
