I can tell you right now, Ron, that this guy Brian is a complete ASS. That leaves Peter, Jim,and Sunny, who may or may not be an ass, I don't know how he has grown.
But here is the thing. NYLUG had no incorperation because JIM didn't want it, going ALL the way back. AND god knows, Peter, who I love, hasn't been involved with NYLUG for a long time to my knowledge.
The reason for the lack of bylaws was because Jim didn't want to be restricted by them. So frankly, they can say whatever they want, and do whatever they want because there is no RULES. That is why when I created NYLXS I made very explicit rules and handbook designed to promote a disperment and empowerment of membership and a clear line of authoirty and voting.
If they chose to right up a charter on the Spring Street Station IRT platform and use it for incorperation, I don't think there is a damn thing anyone can do. I knew that 10 years ago, and it is still true.
If your really pissed, we can use some help with NYLXS and at least you know you can never be squeezed out.
Voting Members pay $40 and give 75 hours a year voluntering time. Members vote the board. The board creates commitees. Committeees run the organization...or so it is in theory.
