I need some feed back on this proposed mission statement for our non profit application. I will entertain comments up until Friday.
Mission Statement: The primary focus of NYLXS is to support leadership development in the New York free software community. Membership is granted to volunteers who support the movement. The organization will accomplish leadership development by providing traditional and virtual classroom training, lectures, install feasts, journal publication, technical development, developer networking and research of public policy issues. In a word, we seek to develop a steady stream of excellent Free Software citizens. We also seek to be a free software advocacy to both business and the educational system.
Thanks for your input.
Joe
