Dearest friend Abdele,
Your conclusion that all linux people are lazy and that NYLXS is
a failure is simply are wrong. It takes a tremeneous leap to draw that
conclusion from my comments. A leap that only someone who is perhaps lazy
would draw.
My point is that we may need to attract members who are too busy ( not
lazy ) to commit to a week (per year) of volunteering inaddition to
meetings. We need to be inclusive to as many members as possible,
especially those whose skills we may need.
More importantly, why force a constitutional amendment if we discover that
3 hours is too much or little.
Failure? An organization that has started several projects in such a short
time is no failure. Rome wasn't built in a day - NYLXS continues to need
open and honest discussion and alittle patience for proper formation - by
people who are interested and serious.
