I don't see what purpose that serves. I specifically voiced concern
that you delivered a message to the community after the radical
islamic attacks in France killed over 100 people and terrorized and
entire city, setting off an international reponse that can only be
described as an internal military occupation of the streets of cities
from Brussels to Spain and beyound for over a week.

And then you sent a message which is clearly apologisitc for this
virulent strain Islam, seemingly to say that we all believe in the
golden rule and that higher education can be an equalizer to a violent
trending cultural phoenamena, yes a cult and religion, which has left
a trail of decapitations and blood since 700AD.

This is incorrect, and not substantiated by historical fact, nor is it
consistant with current event.

Added on top of that, the last student approved postings on the walls
of the school from the muslim student group were __blatantly__
evangelistic.

I do NOT care that Hillary Clinton is refusing to use the term
"radical Islam" because she holds Huda as some example of normative
Islam, because Huda is NOT an example of normative Ilsam. Marrying a
mixed bag mutt of Jewish identifying men, such as Anthony Weiner, is
not normative for Muslims. What is more normative is what we see the
the Svat Valley in Pakistan, the Fundamentalism and racism with Hamas
in Gaza, the radicalism for the Iranian Revolution, ad nauseam. This
University is quickly looking increasingly like UC Davis, where Jews
are pelted with rocks and Israel is smeared with anti-sematic slurs.

My family has been active participants in the US Military for nearly a
century. My son is an officer NOW in the US Army and serving. We
take these issues very seriously and we put our lives on the live to
save the freedoms of this county, freedoms that, frankly are being
swept away in the wake of the response to Islamic fascism. No amount
of higher education is going to sweep these issues aside, as you
suggested in your letter, then it did with all the highly educated
Fascist in the SS in Germany. These kinds of social movements, and
cultures, have not historically responded to education or
enlightenment.

I specifically want you to identify the real threat that Islamic
Fundamentalism is to a free society, to our student body, and in doing
so show me that you care for my safety as a Kipper wearing Jew on
Campus. Invite Salman Rushdie, or Ayaan Hirsi Ali, or even Daniel
Pipes onto campus to speak of the issues that face us in this very
dangerous time. And end the use of student groups to spread hate
speech and evangelising Islam on the campus. I do NOT want to see
this campus to turn into the flaming anti-semetic hotbed such as
exists in UC Davis. And preventing it from doing so starts with a
firm commitment at the top and that, if I understand correctly, starts
with you.
