The only reason I didn't try it was because I figured I'd been an outliner long enough so why not try to go mainstream for once :)

I saw something else as well but I forgot what it was. I have to back track my research.
I might be wrong, but I think majordomo did not use the SMTP to send mail. I think it internally sent mail and mailman, I think, is using postfix or the MTA to send out mail.
