In order for our presence to matter, the coup leadership would have to care how this all looks to people, and they do not. I'm failing to see how my presence there makes any positive difference whatsoever, and you can't seem to think of anything either or you'd have brought it up by now. You can't force these guys to do the right thing, and short of that, they're not going to. You know very well that at this point, anything I think is a good thing, they're ideologically opposed to. So really, my being there could only impede the process.
