I get that you want me there. But there is absolutely no point to it. Any charter that didn't terminate the membership status of most of the members and that doesn't leave the Gang deciding who gets to be one is never going to be accepted. The trotting out of the lawyer and the constant bringing up of one made that very clear.
You want to pretend you're dealing with decent people with good intentions, that's up to you. If this is your way of establishing in a "proof" sense that they won't do the right thing, this is just asking too much of everyone, yourself included. It's too high a price to pay.
I am reminded of the wise words of Ruth Shanen who said the correct thing to do in situations like this is form a new group. Ruth surely wasn't thinking of heists when she said that, but the essential wisdom remains. You can't save NYLUG from the people who've already forever tarnished its reputation, and I think it's expecting too much of Aaron to expect him to refuse to turn the domains over to them. I have heard from enough people now to know that the next step is going to be be when some of those people form a new group. Trying to get dishonorable people to behave honorably is a waste of resources.
