Participation is the first defense for survivability. But lack of
membership is our fault completely. We need to devise interesting and
constant programs that draw more people over time and we need Manhattan
space for projects.
I know this seems contra to current thinking, but I'm 100% certain of
this as well. I've sat there when nobody shows up for months on end and
then seen people slowly get on board. But the efforts need to be
regular and persistent. We need to drive change, and we can. We just
need to redouble our efforts.
