Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education. The Bioinformatics Core (BIC) at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City (Manhattan) is seeking a Systems Programmer to perform systems administration and scientific programming in an academic environment. Systems administration will be performed in concert with a full-time systems administrator and scientific programming in concert with other core staff. Responsibilities include: administer Linux, Mac OS X and Windows systems; install, configure and update operating systems, databases and software packages; monitor and troubleshoot systems operations, including a Linux HPC cluster, email and web servers. Analyze scientific data (approx. 50%) in concert with other core staff. We require: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Linux and Windows systems administration and analytic programming. High performance computing, network security, bioinformatics, and R, Matlab or Java programming.
