Lets see... interesting weekend on the world stage. Sometimes a snapshot, or an off the hook comment, speaks more about the world than detailed analysis:
Try this one by a government supported in Turkey:
?This whole thing is not as bad as it looks,? Fatma Aygun, 33, said. ?It is just a game of the foreign media.?
She added, ?Things will be back to normal in three to four days. Taksim will look like this: happy, colorful and festive. We are the majority, and we will make sure of it.?
Well, she understands Democracy. Obviously... in a Democracy the Majority can rape and plunder the minority after every election cycle.
OK - moving on to NYC!!! To New York University, a private non-profit organization which serves the public...or something like that.
The are kicking out a Chinese student because this student doesn't much like totalitarian regimes in the home country. Strangely enough, the Chinese got a hold of this information, maybe from Snowden , who is trying to find political assylum in Communist ruled China (you can't make this up)
?The work of the Chinese Communists within academic circles in the United States is far greater than what people imagine, and some scholars have no option but to hold themselves back,? Mr. Chen said. ?Academic independence and academic freedom in the United States are being greatly threatened by a totalitarian regime.?
