I don't understand this at all. If the school is serious, why haven't they hired someone who has the skills needed to get the job done? An unskilled volunteer creates two harmful impressions:
1. Free Software labor is cheap and in most cases, free (as in beer).
2. Free Software is not ready because the unskilled volunteer couldn't get the job done.
