What audio applications do you use? Specifically, I have looked a bit in the past for something like ProTools, for the sake of my roommate in Film. Protools is basically a digital mixer, providing many tracks and allowing you to mix and apply effects and stuff. I don't know much more about it, but it has features which make it expensive and useful.
