while upgrading to suse 8.2 I encountered the following:
During the installatin - the program hangs during "loading kernal modules for hard disk controllers".
It installs linux in ram and then trys to install to the hard drive - but during the ram installation - it mod_probes the scsi host adpter and returns an error code =2. So I assume it can't find the scsi adpter (apaptec aic- 7896 scsi) and therefore won't install to the hard disk. Any solutions, suggests, or workarounds?
Thanks,
Joe
