As much as I dislike MS, it wouldnt hurt to take a step back and consider
a few points.

MS has lots of money, lots of laywers and lots of friends in
politics. They are a business. The very basic purpose of a business to
exist is to make money. If you go after the bread and butter of any
business they will use whatever they have at their disposal to survive.

Even though in the eyes of some people they have an inferior product
history shows that an inferior product manages to survive through
politicing. Usually subversive means to illuminate a products inferior
attrtibutes end up in court and worse still people going ot jail.
