I'm watching this right now, and getting both hungry and nostalgic for Brooklyn: http://vodlocker.com/edff81a0f3gy This is the _finale_ episode of Anthony Bourdain's Travel Channel show 'No Reservations', so it's somewhat special. Among other things, he gets lucky fishing off Sheepshead Bay, which made me think of you, Ruben. (I was a running gag for the entire preceding eight seasons that Bourdain always had abysmal luck any time he went fishing.)
A couple of the locations shown (Sunny's, Randazzo's) were seriously damaged by Hurricane Sandy, so that bit's a bit wistful.
Bourdain's a born-and-bred Manhattanite, and freely confesses that he never really got to know Brooklyn, before.
So, is the pastrami at Jay & Lloyd's in Sheepshead Bay any good? I can almost smell it from here.
