Hello,
In 12 days I will go to NY (from 14th Nov to 23th Nov), from Barcelona.
I know that there isn't any NY-LUG or Python meeting on that days, but if someone wants to take a drink it's fine with me. Probably Tuesday 18th November. I would like to see a meeting in that library where you meet, but it seems that this is not possible this time (it's just the week that you don't have any meeting).
Just to avoid so much big off-topic, if someone is interested I can explain when we will meet:
http://marketing.openoffice.org/ooocon2007/programme/thursday_abstracts.html#a111 "Abstract: In this presentation, Lexatel Technologies will show a way to integrate presentations with MySQL databases using py-uno, explaining our case. This system has been introduced by Lexatel Technologies in several production environments. The result is a screen providing useful graphical information contained in the clients' databases, adding a valuable service to Lexatel Technologies products. The aim of this conference is to show the community how these Python libraries have been developed, which problems we have found and how we have fixed it. It also aims to provide a service which is already available for other office software suites. It is possible to start using the system without any development: only preparing a presentation and writing the SQL queries in a single configuration file. In this way, the system provides an abstraction layer which separates design and programming worlds, in order to simplify design changes. "
(we presented it in a openoffice conference last year)
Of course, to understand me, you will need to learn a bit of Spanglish!
I also have been doing a Python-Qt program (qphotosort) but I don't think that it's enough interesting to explain something (http://pintant.cat/qphotosort/) (lastly I have been fixing some bugs, etc.). It does some things with jpeg photos, getting the information from Exif fields.
Have a nice days!
