Just noticed this class when flipping through an NYU booklet.
Introduction to Linux - $1045 This course is an intensive hands-on look at running Linux. Students learn how to install Linux on various types of hardware configurations; to administer multiuser, real-world Linux machines; and to integrate a Linux installation with both a local area network (LAN) and a global internet. Students also obtain the know-how necessary to keep up with new trends and technologies in the Linux com put ing world. Topics include: Linux networking hardware and software set-up and maintenance; common network application daemons; X Windows environ ment; and how you can put Linux to use in your place of business. Prerequisite: UNIX Operating System/X52.9545 or equivalent.
It seems that people should be jumping on the the NYLXS class. ____________________________ New Yorker Linux Users Scene Fair Use - because it's either fair use or useless....
