Hello everyone - I am chairmen of the finance committee and treasurer of
NYLXS. I am looking forward to helping the organization get off the ground
and obtain sufficient funding to meet it's goals. In the coming days - I
will post the approved bylaws and schedule a finance committee meeting.
Remember to pay your dues - if you haven't already. Below is my bio - for a
more formal introduction.

Joseph A. Maffia, CPA is a partner in the firm Rosenzweig & Maffia LLP,
which specializes in the Entertainment, Theater Arts, and Sports accounting
industries. Mr. Maffia has worked in many positions in the Sports and
Entertainment industries, including several years at both Paramount Pictures
and Don King Productions, Inc.. Mr. Maffia has authored the Rosenzweig &
Maffia Boxing Report, which analyses the industry from a financial
perspective, and has written numerous articles, and granted many television
and radio interviews about the boxing industry. Mr. Maffia was an adjunct
lecturer in auditing at Hunter College. He is chairmen of the Entertainment
and Sports committee of the New York State Society of CPAs and currently
serves on the Board as treasurer for the following organizations; the
Alliance for New York State Arts Organizations, NYLXS and Art Action New
York. Mr. Maffia was previously chair of the Foundation for Accounting
Education’s 1998, 1999 and 2000 Entertainment and Sports conference.
