I am specking out the development of a large e-commerce site.
This site will need to interact with an old COBOL based CICS system running in UNIX. Accu-COBOL ODBC is being implemented so SQL query to the old files should be possible, but these are COBOL files so they are fixed-length records. There are also some complex calculations, and rather than re-deploy a complex set of business rules I'd like to utilize the existing COBOL application to perform the calculations or utilize some 3270 screen scraper technology.
Anyone with experience in this environment who is interested in sharing their expertise and partnering in the development of this significant website may contact me to discuss this further. We are planning to deploy the web site side in Cold Fusion, but could really use some expertise on the Cobol Side.
This would be a substantial contract.
If you have this experience, please contact me...
Thanks,
