As for the hair-trigger disconnection, and annoying policies (both real and imagined by their customer support people) I've seen that on every ISP, including Speakeasy, with whom I am quite familiar and was otherwise happy with except for their trying to disconnect another customer of mine for port-scanning that wasn't actually happening.
Ruben's problem here in any case is that he's already on Covad (Speakeasy) and wants out of there.
