There is nothing closer to a true free market in software than free software! Obviously you missed my manhatten chamber of commerce speech (the one I have yet to give...), but one thing free software does is lower the barrier to market entry, and hence assures the market neither monopolizes nor that cartels form, and hence assures that a natural price between producer and buyer actually appears unrestrained. It is Free Software that will keep the invisible hand of any true Adam Smith capitalist from being tied behind someone's back...
