The NYLXS Quarterly Journal Committee is meeting at the NYLXS Educational
Center on June 1st, 2003. NYLXS is taking articles. Each auther is to get $50
an article. We are holding an editorial Meeting on that Sunday Morning. Bagels

ANNOUNCEMENT: NYLXS Free Software Learning

NYLXS OPENS BROOKLYN FREE SOFTWARE CENTER
NYLXS is pleased to announce the opening of New York's first GNU/Linux Free
Software Education Center and Internet Cafe, in cooperation with Kings Games.
The Center is located at the intersection of Kings Highway and East 12th Street
in Brooklyn, New York. NYLXS is providing six computers and is looking for
donations of additional computer hardware and equipment. The brand new 80' x
50' facility has new carpets and is fully wired for Ethernet access.
The games room is upstairs, and downstairs are the offices of the Free Software
Center. Computer rentals at Kings Games are $5.00 per hour, with a discount
available for NYLXS members.
There will be an NYLXS Open House meeting on Monday, April 21st, featuring a
public introduction of the NYLXS and its committees, and an opportunity to
volunteer or join the organization.

Kings Games is conveniently accessible from nearly anywhere in NYC. In

Island Avenue. Drive North to Kings Highway, then right to East 12th Street.
