This is becoming more interesting now that we are working on the GNOME
Developers Conference. The question remains open on the commitments
that Novell will make of the Free Software Components of Ximian. Needless
to say, the GNU project is worried about the affects of a major GNU application
being wrapped up in a proprietary system, and how well Novell works with the
FSF is going to be an important development in the next few years.
For starters, Novell should throw out an olive branch to ardent supports of
Free Software by helping out with the GNOME Development Conference which
will probibly have RMS as a major participant in November.
