Hi there,
Sawyer organized a Perl meeting a few month ago in Tel Aviv, but besides that I have not been to a Perl-conference or workshop for quite a while. Back in the days when I went to 1-3 events a year I had a feel of where the Perl community is at. Or at least I thought I have. Now I don't know.
Without the face-to-face meetings I can only rely on blog posts to try to understand what people think and where are things haeding, but we have fewer and fewer blogs posts. So what are you working on these days? Have you amended your Perl expertise with something else? What are you working on these days?
Grab a blogging platform and write something.
Enjoy your week!

It also shows that so= me people don't understand that every friction (e.g. the need to install IO::Prompter from CPAN) will hugely reduce the chances of success. IMHO this, the fact that the Perl community forgot to make 'the easy things easy', is a large part how first PHP, and later Python became more popular than Perl. --------------
