I've been saying so. I think the next conference will have "Free" in the name.
I know that the people who are running one in Europe decided to do so. Is that the conference you mean? I'm talking about Stanco's future conferences in the US.
Two weeks ago I politely asked Tony to agree to make them "FS & OS" conferences and that any future Microsoft presence should be presented as a debate with an adversary of our community. He seems to have agreed more or less to the latter part. If he is also agreeable to the first part, it is strange that he refused even to discuss the question with me.
Notwithstanding that, if he agrees to these changes in policy, I will have no criticisms.
