We are ready to launch for the Washignton DC trip trip to take on those who are selling out Free Software to Microsoft.
The Egov-OS is a bait and switch, supposedly to encourage Free Software in Government. Instead, Tony Stanco, the chief organizer, with the help of Bruce Perens and George Washington University decided to give Microsoft a free ride to peddle their 'Shared Source' junk at the government. This followed the fiasco at NY Linux World Expo, where Microsoft one a 1st place price for developing something using their non-competitive practices.
This trip, like all the other NY Fair Use trips, is funded by NYLXS. We are dressing like the Founding Fathers:
George Washington never told a lie!! BUT GWU DOES!
Fight for Free Software jobs, contracts and use in Government!
March 17th - 2003
Anyone who wants to come, I need measurements for your costumes as soon as possible
Ruben
